Dunlop is having trouble with raw materials

28 january 2010
Workers at the Dunlop plant in Zimbabwe are worried about their workplace.

The Business Diary reports a shortage of raw materials for tire production at the Dunlop plant. As a result, the plant's annual downtime has been extended. Initially, production was scheduled to resume on January 11, 2009, but now this date has been postponed for another month.

No one knows when the raw materials will arrive. The workers' union is concerned that the plant may be closed.

The future of the enterprise is difficult to determine due to the high competition in the class of cheap tires.
