Expensive tires with poor characteristics
Expensive means high-quality. This statement is not always true. Indeed, there may be situations where a company with a long history and technical capabilities can miss the mark and release a weak model. This is exactly what happened with the IceContact 3 model from Continental. The tire is not bad, but considering the price, it enters the top of the most expensive tires and at the same time cannot compete with its competitors in terms of characteristics.
A recent test by "Vi Bilägare" showed that in a comparison of the strongest tires on the market, in comparison with the well-known Korean and Chinese brands, Michelin and Nokian were invariably the leaders on ice. But Continental from the big three hopelessly lagged behind. This tire lagged behind in both disciplines on ice, both in acceleration and braking.

Again, this does not mean that the tire is bad, but in terms of the price-quality ratio, it is not the best offer on the market, that's for sure.
