Expensive tires on budget cars. Is it worth it?

Of course, there are! But it's worth remembering that tires are a compromise of characteristics. Before buying the most expensive tires, you should answer yourself a series of questions, and then, perhaps, overpaying is not worth it.

The most expensive tires on the market are essentially the best that leading engineers in the industry can offer. By default, these tires can be considered the best in braking and handling in various weather conditions.

But often, high performance loses all meaning if we are talking about a car with an average speed of 40-60 kilometers per hour, and for a driver who does not leave the city, these expenses may be unnecessary.

More importantly, regardless of the brand, the tires should be suitable for operation. This means that they should not have unrepaired damage to the sidewall in the form of bulges or cuts. It is also important that the tread is "alive". You should not stretch the tires to the limit of wear, especially when it comes to winter tires. Remember that some manufacturers recommend replacing tires before reaching the indicators, as reducing the tread increases the risk of aquaplaning and reduces traction in snow.

Undoubtedly, you should not forget about the recommended pressure, as all the characteristics of the tires can be reduced to zero and the risk of sidewall rupture can be increased simply by lowering the pressure relative to the norm.
