Subsidiary of Sinochem, Guilin Lanyu has started production of civil aviation tires

The largest player in the tire industry, Sinochem Holdings, is vying for the top spot with Guilin Lanyu Aviation Tyre Development Co., Ltd., which announced that on November 23, 2024, its subsidiary began operating as China's first major production line for civilian aviation tires.

However, Sinochem may need to clarify its use of the word "first," as Sentury Tire has been claiming to produce aviation tires for civilian use for some time. Putting semantics aside, Sinochem's statement says that the Guilin Lanyu plant in southern China is capable of producing 100,000 civilian aviation tires per year, which is enough to meet 40 percent of the country's current demand for this product.
