Dumping by Chinese suppliers of passenger car tires in Europe confirmed
The European Commission, which has been conducting an anti-dumping investigation into imports of passenger and light truck tires from China since May 2025, has confirmed the existence of dumping, which "has caused significant harm to the EU industry". This is stated in a document provided to suppliers assisting in the investigation for comment.
The EC also adds that based on the commission's findings, "it is necessary to introduce final anti-dumping measures to prevent further harm to the EU industry".
The alleged rate of anti-dumping duties was also indicated, which amounted to 3.4% for Hankook and 29.9% for companies cooperating with the EC. Tariffs of up to 51.6% may be imposed on other imports.
A final decision on anti-dumping duties is scheduled to be announced on June 18.
