Dalian Tyre started production of passenger tires
On December 28, Dalian Tyre manufactured the first passenger car tires at its plant in Dalian (Liaoning Province, China). The project to develop new products worth around 200 million yuan (27 million dollars) was launched in February 2024 and implemented in 300 days with a significant ahead of schedule, as initially production was planned to be launched in August 2025.
Previously, Dalian only produced tires for cargo transportation, and the company says that the launch of passenger tire production is an important strategic step that will meet the existing market demand.

As part of the project, the area of the enterprise will not be increased, and new equipment was installed in an empty building, which will also house a warehouse for finished products with a capacity of 3 million tires.
First of all, Dalian will produce passenger tires of the popular size 195/60 R15 (700 thousand units per year), and the assortment will also include sizes 215/45ZR17, 195/70R15LT, 205/55ZR16 and etc.
Last year, Dalian also announced that from January 1, 2025, it will start using an updated logo, which should "make the company's image more modern and dynamic".

Dalian Tyre was founded in 2005, and cargo tires are produced under the Lionlord and Liaolun brands.
