Coteсhoo — new tire brand from China
Chinese Shandong Changlu Hong Tire Co., Ltd. is launching a new tire brand called Cotechoo, which joins the company's portfolio alongside the Charmhoo brand, also present in the Russian market. Chinese manufacturers often choose a multi-brand strategy, releasing tires with the same tread patterns under several brands, so it's unusual that Changlu Hong had only one trademark before.
The new brand has already been registered in Russia, and in Europe, the first Cotechoo tire has recently received ratings under the local labeling system, indicating plans to supply products to this region as well.
The Cotechoo CH01 Touring summer passenger tire has received Euro labeling ("D" for fuel efficiency and "B" for wet grip and external noise), apparently a copy of the Charmhoo CH01 Touring model, which, as the name suggests, belongs to the "touring" category and was designed to improve comfort.

The manufacturer claims that the use of medium and high elasticity materials in combination with a variable tread pitch has improved vibration absorption efficiency and reduced noise levels, while the four wide longitudinal grooves are responsible for rapid water evacuation.
Under the Charmhoo brand, a fairly wide range of tires is offered, including winter and all-season tires, and it can be expected that the new brand's assortment will be roughly the same. The Cotechoo CH01 Touring has received Euro labeling ratings in sizes from 175/70 R13 to 215/65 R16.
Changlu Hu is based in the city of Linyi, Shandong Province, in eastern China, and the company's planned production capacity is 24 million passenger and 2.4 million commercial tires per year. By the time it reaches these figures, the total investment will be 5.2 billion yuan (730 million dollars), and the company's staff will exceed 7,000 people.
