Continental completes sale of French assets
Continental has completed the sale of its French structure ContiTrade France to the investment firm ASC Investment. The company announced its intention to sell assets in France in December 2025; the deal included, in particular, two tire retreading plants and more than 130 BestDrive trade and service centers, which will continue to operate as part of the same network under franchise agreements. The parties agreed not to disclose the amount and terms of the deal.
According to Veronique Giraud, head of the tire business at Continental, the BestDrive franchise network in the country currently has over 200 sales outlets, and "in the future, we, having a strong brand and many years of experience in the field of car service, will continue to support all our franchisees, helping them develop their business and realize their potential".
Fredéric Hirl, Managing Director of ASC, thanked Continental for "excellent joint work over the past few months and confidence that we are the right partner capable of ensuring the development of 130 BestDrive centers in France".
"Having signed a long-term franchise agreement, we intend to maintain the status of an important partner of Continental France in the coming years", he added.
