Continental establishes semiconductor company

The demand of the automotive industry for semiconductors is growing, and according to Continental's estimates, by 2032 the global market for these products will approach $130 billion. Given the high and growing demand, the automotive conglomerate Continental - the future Aumovio company - has established an Advanced Electronics and Semiconductor Solutions (AESS) division, with GlobalFoundries as its manufacturing partner.

This new organization will develop and test automotive semiconductors to meet in-house demand.
