Continental presented a new off-road tire
Continental held a presentation of new off-road tires Continental CrossContact A/T2 in Goa, India, designed for use on both asphalt and gravel, sand, mud, and rocky surfaces. The novelty is made using the Traction Plus technology, which, thanks to a special rubber compound, enhances traction on wet surfaces, and also improves acoustic comfort due to the optimization of the tread pattern.
The production uses the BlackPaw compound, which, according to the company, allows the tires to work effectively in both heat and cold in a wide range of road conditions, while the open shoulder zones and stone ejectors accelerate the removal of dirt and slush, ensuring quick self-cleaning of the tread, and the reinforced blocks and optimized groove design reduce the likelihood of aquaplaning and shorten braking distances. In addition, the tires also have a reinforced sidewall construction that increases resistance to cuts and other damage.

The CrossContact A/T2 will be offered in various regions of the world, and the fact that the premiere was held in India emphasizes the importance of the local market for the company, noted Managing Director of Continental Tires India Samir Gupta.
According to him, the Indian off-road vehicle market is experiencing a period of rapid growth, and Continental is "constantly introducing innovations so that our products perfectly match local conditions", and the new tires work effectively on various types of terrain and terrain characteristic of India.
The tires have entered the Indian market in sizes from 215/70 R15 to 285/60 R18, which are suitable for many popular off-road vehicles and pickups in the country.
