Continental supplies tires for Skoda Elroq

The Skoda Elroq comes equipped with Continental EcoContact 7 tyres in sizes 235/50 R20 for the front axle and 255/45 R20 for the rear axle, featuring the FR marking, meaning they are equipped with an integrated sidewall protection ridge that helps prevent rim damage when tyres rub against curbs, the tyre manufacturer's press service reported.

The rubber compound and construction of the EcoContact 7 have been designed to enhance energy efficiency, and for improved aerodynamics, the company applied technologies derived from sports. Golf balls feature 300–450 dimples that reduce air resistance while increasing lift, enabling longer and more accurate flight trajectories. Continental applied the same principle when designing the sidewalls of the EcoContact 7: special "dimples" (Aerodimple technology) reduce air turbulence behind the tyre, resulting in lower energy consumption for vehicle propulsion.

Special attention was also given to improving acoustic comfort, with the tread pattern optimized to reduce noise at frequencies typical for low-speed driving in urban traffic. This makes driving more comfortable and additionally reduces noise pollution in city streets.
