By the end of this year, Continental plans to close or scale back operations at several ContiTech plants in Germany. The company intends to cease production at the plants in Bad Blankenburg, Stößen, and Moers, discontinue tool manufacturing at two plants in Frohburg and Geithain, and reduce activities in the future independent business area Original Equipment Solutions (OESL).

In addition, as part of the planned spin-off of the Automotive division, the company will relocate a production line from the ContiTech plant in Hannover-Wahrenwald to the Automotive site. These measures will affect around 580 employees.
