LLC "DAVYDOVO Tire Manufacturing Company", which operates in the Moscow region on the basis of a tire enterprise that belonged to Michelin from 2001 to 2023, has invested 400 million rubles in expanding production, of which 150 million rubles were received as a preferential loan from the Moscow Region Entrepreneurship Development Fund, reports the publication "Regions.ru".

The company does not currently produce new tires, but instead provides services for the spiking of passenger and light truck tires, as well as produces rubber compounds and restored truck tires, which are sold under the Inroad brand.

As the company's manager Andrey Gorkov explained, restored tires undergo the same rigorous quality control as new ones, and in 2025, the enterprise will produce about 10,000 units of this type. In the coming months, the company also plans to start spiking truck tires, and in the future, it plans to establish the production of rubber crumb from recycled tires, which is used in road construction, as a component of sports and children's playground coatings, in the production of soundproof panels, etc.

The production of rubber compounds was launched back in 2005 under the former owner, and the company reports that the products meet the strictest standards of premium tire manufacturers, and the workshop capacity is up to 50,000 tires per year. The equipment was designed to order by Michelin, and the investment volumes amounted to 10 million euros.

It is noted that the finished rubber compounds are distinguished by a high level of uniformity and physicochemical properties, which directly affects the quality of the final product, and with the participation of Michelin specialists, a unique rotor design was developed, which increases the degree of mixing of components, including rubbers with different viscosity levels. The service of testing the finished products in the laboratory is also offered, which allows tracking the key physico-mechanical parameters of the rubber compound. Initially, the plant already had a well-established system for collecting carcasses and direct access to raw materials, and Gorkov emphasizes that it was possible to preserve and maximize jobs.

Inroad restored tires are manufactured using tread strips from "one of the leading global suppliers of components for hot and cold restoration of truck tires". The strips are produced according to Goodyear recipes and meet the quality standards established by Michelin.

The carcasses are checked for visible and hidden damage by the method of sheography, and unique for Russia automatic tread removal installations are also used, which ensures a minimal and uniform residual layer. In addition, a recipe for a rubber compound under the tread was specially developed for "Davydovo", which increases the reliability of the adhesion of the carcass with the new tread strip, the application of which is also carried out in an automated mode. Restored tires of the premium and middle price segment are available, including those with the 3PMSF marking, which confirms that they can be safely operated during the winter period.

The company has been engaged in spiking for over 20 years, and automatic machines from the Finnish company A-Tekniikka allow spiking tires with a diameter of 12 to 22 inches using studs of any type. Quality control is carried out at all stages, including measuring the height of the stud protrusion.

The enterprise also has a wheel assembly line with a capacity of 50,000 units of products per season, launched over 10 years ago. It is reported that the plant has extensive experience in supplying winter tire sets on disks to car manufacturers' salons, and the reliability of assembly and zero residual balance are ensured by modern mounting and balancing machines.

On the territory of the plant, a warehouse with a total storage area of 65,000 m2 also operates, providing services for unloading, loading, storage, packaging, and labeling of tires of any category, including oversized ones, as well as assembled wheels. The speed of processing the flow of tires is up to 30,000 units per day.

The warehouse is conveniently located from a logistical point of view, 100 km from Moscow and 40 km from the high-speed highway M-12 "Vostok", and there is also the possibility of activating its own railway branch to the Kurovskaya station.
