Changlu Hong Tire to increase passenger tire production

Shandong Changlu Hong Tire, a company that produces tires under the brands Charmhoo, Cotechoo, and Gepormax, has announced plans to modernize and expand its plant in Linyi, Shandong Province, China, which will increase its passenger car tire production capacity by 12 million units per year.

The project will invest 5.2 billion yuan (720 million US dollars), and the company says it will help achieve the goal of increasing production capacity to 24 million passenger car tires and 2.4 million truck tires per year, as well as achieving an annual turnover of 10 billion yuan (1.4 billion US dollars).

It is also reported that the new production lines will produce radial passenger car tires of the High-Performance class, which is the most popular product on the Chinese market. Meanwhile, as tire requirements continue to grow, the company promises to pay special attention to the technological advancement of production processes and quality control.

Chinese media note that the local tire industry is currently undergoing a transformation, and manufacturers are striving to improve characteristics of their passenger car tires such as fuel efficiency and durability. The new investment project will allow Changlu Hong to improve its competitiveness and fulfill the tasks set before the company.

Shandong Changlu Hong Tire was founded in Linyi in 2004.
