Changfeng will build a plant in Vietnam
Shandong Changfeng Tyres has announced its intention to build a plant in Vietnam, where other Chinese tire companies, such as Sailun and Guizhou Tyre, already have their production complexes. Changfeng does not specify the amount of investment in the new project, and the planned capacity is 800,000 passenger and 160,000 truck tires.
The company notes that there is currently an overcapacity of production facilities in the tire industry in China, and the new plant will help avoid potential risks associated with various trade barriers in the international market.
Vietnam was chosen due to the country's favorable geographical location, and Changfeng expects that after localizing production, they will be able to more effectively serve customers in the region, as well as improve their overall competitiveness in the global market.
Changfeng was founded in 2005 and is based in Dongying (Shandong, China), and the company's total capacity currently stands at 12 million passenger and 5 million truck tires. The product range includes brands such as Hifly, Ovation, Sunfull and others.
