Ceat expands production
Ceat has commenced operations of a new production line for radial truck and bus tires at its plant in Chennai (India). The new line's capacity will reach 1500 tires per day within the next 12 months, and its launch is expected to help the company expand its presence in international markets.
“The commissioning of the radial truck and bus tire line at our export-focused plant in Chennai will be crucial as we implement our growth strategy, as we will be able to offer a wide range of tires across various markets, including Europe and the US,” said Arnab Banerjee, Managing Director of Ceat.
While radial truck tires are the most common in the American and European markets, the “radialization” of this segment is still underway in India, which makes the launch of the new line important for Ceat.
“The new investment reaffirms Ceat's commitment to offering innovative solutions to customers around the world,” Banerjee added.
