Bridgestone has strengthened its focus on agricultural tires

The American division of Bridgestone recently announced that it plans to expand its agricultural tire plant in Iowa (United States of America). To this end, it is planned to allocate $74 million. This is almost twice as much as was initially invested in the plant ($77 million). As reported, these funds will go towards the expansion and modernization of production areas that are engaged in the vulcanization and assembly of tires. All improvements will be aimed at increasing demand for radial agricultural tires produced under the Firestone brand, which are distributed in the North American and global tire markets. Ken Allen, President of the company's sales division, stated that investments in the Des Moines plant will allow for "improving market share, developing new solutions, and implementing the most modern innovative technologies in the field of tire production for agricultural machinery", in particular, to reduce soil damage. Recall that the Des Moines plant was opened in the mid-1950s. Currently, its staff consists of 673 people.
