Bridgestone collaborates with the company to prevent the disease of rubber trees
As part of a project involving companies from Japan and Indonesia, the Bridgestone Corporation is developing technologies to prevent White Root Disease (WRD) in Para rubber trees.
WRD kills rubber trees by infecting the roots with pathogenic fungi that cause tissue decay, and the onset of the disease is difficult to detect. By developing technologies to prevent fungal infection, the project aims to stabilize natural rubber yields and increase the productivity of plantations.
