Bridgestone presented new summer tires
On November 12, Bridgestone held a presentation and test drive of its new premium sports tires, Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE005, at its testing ground in the Wang Noi area of Thailand's Ayutthaya province. The tires were developed using the Enliten technology, designed to improve various operational characteristics of the tires while increasing their environmental friendliness.
The new Bridgestone tires feature an improved tread pattern with "A"-shaped grooves, referring to the name of the family, and wide blocks in the inner zone, which improve controllability during sharp turns. Additionally, special attention was paid to reducing the risk of aquaplaning, and the company claims that the "revolutionary" rubber compound, created using the NanoPro-Tech technology, which allows changing the properties of compounds at the nanolevel, increases grip on both dry and wet surfaces, while also reducing rolling resistance. The multi-radius block construction (Multi-Round Block technology) optimizes pressure distribution, reducing uneven wear.
"Bridgestone Potenza is not just a tire; it's a legend in the sports segment, which got its DNA on world-class racing tracks, and then the technologies were used in products for public roads, which gave them the highest characteristics," said Akihito Ishii, Managing Director of Bridgestone Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd, adding that the previous generation tire, the Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin RE004, was extremely successful, and its successor "combines excellent parameters and premium quality, providing confident control over the car on a wet road in combination with a long service life."
The new tire is designed for a wide range of vehicles, from Honda Jazz and Toyota Yaris to Bentley Continental GT and Ferrari 812 GTS, and Bridgestone emphasizes that the tires are optimally suited for both standard powertrains and electric cars. The lineup includes 41 sizes, from 195/55 R15 to 275/30 R20, which will be offered at a price of 3,350 to 14,850 baht (from 8 to 35.8 thousand rubles).
