Bridgestone recalls over 1700 all-season Firestone tires
Bridgestone is initiating a recall of 1,742 Firestone Destination LE3 tires in size 265/70 R17, manufactured at the Wilson, North Carolina, USA plant during the 43rd and 44th weeks of 2025.
The recall is due to the fact that the belt edge insert (BEI) may be improperly positioned. The insert is used to stabilize and protect the edges of the belt layer, and its displacement leads to a reduction in tire strength and creates a risk of tread separation, meaning the product does not meet safety standards. According to the manufacturer's estimates, 50% of the recalled tires are defective.

Firestone Destination LE3 are highway all-season tires for SUVs and pickup trucks, designed for sale in the secondary market. The tires affected by the recall will be replaced free of charge.
