Bridgestone initiates a joint project with partners

As part of a major step towards enhancing global transportation safety, Bridgestone has announced the launch of a pilot project that marks a milestone in its partnership history. Bridgestone has teamed up with Africa's leading airline — Ethiopian Airlines, and Ethiopian Airports Enterprise.

The unique partnership will be rolled out at the key hub — Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, and its main mission is to minimize foreign object debris (FOD) on runways. The initiative is driven by a pressing need: previous FOD and tire damage incidents have regularly disrupted flight schedules, highlighting the critical importance of a comprehensive approach to safety management.
