Bridgestone and ENEOS are launching a joint project aimed at producing tire materials from used tires
Bridgestone and ENEOS Corporation have announced the launch of a joint research and development project aimed at socially implementing "chemical recycling technologies that enable precise pyrolysis of used tires." This initiative contributes to the realization of the common concept of sustainable development of both companies.
As part of this project, Bridgestone and ENEOS intend to develop a recycling plant that will process used tires into raw materials. The joint project will focus on developing chemical recycling technologies for used tires by combining Bridgestone's advanced technologies for developing rubber and polymer materials, which it has cultivated in its business, with ENEOS's crude oil refining technologies and basic technologies for producing primary chemical products.
