The Davanti brand falls into the UUHP category
Not so long ago, Pirelli announced that in 2025, they will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of their P Zero model, which was the first "ultra-high-performance" tire, creating the Ultra High Performance segment, but car power continues to grow, and the need for a new class of tires has arisen, called Ultra Ultra High Performance (UUHP). This includes tires such as Michelin Pilot Sport S 5, Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport, and others, and now Davanti Tyres, a private brand of the British trading company Oak Tyres, is entering this segment.
The new product is called Davanti Protoura Sport Evo, and the company says that "building on the stunning success of the Protoura Sport line, introduced in 2021, the latest model in the Davanti high-performance tire line will become the new flagship of the brand and is expected to make a splash in the market in the second half of 2025".
It is noted that the novelty was designed at "one of the most intelligent plants" in Europe, which made it possible to improve handling characteristics on dry and wet surfaces thanks to the use of "advanced technologies and research centers in combination with Davanti's large-scale testing program".
The tire will also be produced in Europe, and Davanti emphasizes that this approach has a number of advantages, including the fact that production is located close to the UK and the efficiency of the supply chain is increased, as well as the competitiveness in local markets.
Regarding the tire itself, Davanti says that the improved tread pattern provides the fastest water drainage, the silicone-based rubber compound improves handling sensitivity, and rim protection is also provided.
According to Peter Cross, General Manager of Davanti, the release of new tires "confirms our desire to expand the range and lead the market, investing in research and development and using the most innovative technologies available at modern enterprises, as well as increasing the overall efficiency of our business".
"Since our founding in 2015, we have always sought to be leaders, and now, almost 10 years later, we are still determined to act in the same spirit," he added.
Davanti Protoura Sport Evo will be available in Europe starting from the third quarter of 2025. The size range is not specified, but all the most popular sizes will definitely be included in the line.
