The BMW iX3 has been equipped with Nexen tires

Nexen Tire has announced that its UHP summer tire, Nexen N’Fera Sport, has been approved for the original equipment of the BMW iX3 electric crossover, which effectively performs on both dry and wet roads thanks to design features such as wide longitudinal grooves that accelerate water drainage and an improved block design that enhances handling at high speeds. The tires are also made from a state-of-the-art rubber compound that enhances acceleration and braking performance, while the reinforced sidewall structure provides the necessary stability at high speeds, both on straight roads and when cornering.

Nexen began collaborating with global automakers in 2012 and has since actively expanded its presence in the global OE market, supplying tires to premium brands such as BMW.

According to Nexen, the development of relationships with automotive brands has been made possible by continuous investments in R&D, and, for example, the company recently introduced a driving simulator, a first in the Korean tire industry, which allows for virtual development of next-generation tires. Additionally, an AI-based automated quality control system has been implemented in production, and in the future, Nexen plans to further expand AI and virtual modeling technologies, which should enable the company to continue strengthening its partnership with automakers.

"By expanding our research and development capabilities and developing partnerships with automakers, we will continue to supply premium products to our customers around the world," said John Bosco (Hyun Suk) Kim, CEO of Nexen.
