Best Choice will supply tires from Cambodia
Since an anti-dumping investigation into Chinese passenger and light truck tires has been initiated in Europe, Chinese companies need to be prepared for potential consequences. Not long ago, Max Zou, the CEO of Best Choice International, which offers tires under its private brands Autogreen, Delmax, and Mazzini, announced that products will be supplied from Cambodia.
During a forum on the development of China's rubber industry in Zhangjiagang, the head of Best Choice gave a report on overcoming negative trends in foreign trade and emphasized that the company is actively continuing its development in the global market, including through the expansion of tire production under its own brands outside of China. Zou also noted that the company has already agreed to cooperate with one Cambodian plant, and negotiations are currently underway with two more enterprises in the country, as well as with a potential partner in Vietnam.
According to him, the plants in Cambodia and Vietnam, which have sufficient production capacity, will ensure stable and reliable order fulfillment, and the delivery of molds and their implementation will begin as early as the third quarter of 2025.
"The creation of a production base in Cambodia is a strategic decision to overcome trade barriers," Zou said, adding that by localizing in Cambodia, the company will be able to offer customers the opportunity to avoid paying increased duties and ensure stability of supply with "long-term growth potential".
Best Choice was founded in Beijing more than 20 years ago and now supplies tires all over the world, with Europe being its key market. After signing a cooperation agreement with a Vietnamese plant, the company also intends to agree on the production of tires under its brands in North Africa and Turkey to increase the diversification of supply sources when serving markets in more than 120 countries worldwide.
