Belshina enters the premium segment
The mass tire factory of JSC "Belshina" has produced an experimental batch of summer passenger tires of the premium class, reports "Shinnik". It was announced several years ago that the Bobruisk manufacturer would enter the premium segment, and during this time, for example, in the Russian market, this sector has been left without leading players, so, who knows, maybe the Belarusian tires of the new category have good prospects here.
However, so far "Belshina" does not produce premium products on a mass scale, and the new tires under the name Artmotion Premium, model PS-105, were created at the request of "Belgee" for the equipment of the Belgee S50 sedan (analog of Geely Emgrand). Tires were developed in the size 205/55 R17, and it is noted that "a reduction in imports of analogs of this type of tire from foreign manufacturers is forecasted, and, accordingly, high demand on the secondary market".
As noted by the chief designer of tires - the head of the design and construction department of the engineering and technical center "Belshina" Evgeny Kernožitsky, "the tire size with the new tread pattern Artmotion Premium was designed taking into account the quality requirements of the research institute of the company Geely, as well as the requests and prospects of the modern market".
According to him, the tread pattern of the new tires was created "taking into account the technical world trends in the design of tires for vehicles and the degree of popularity on the market", and Artmotion Premium combines reliability of traction with an improved level of comfort.
He also added that now the tires will undergo an extended complex of tests to meet the requirements of Geely, including those not provided for by the standard set of methods of "Belshina".
"Previous experience - earlier, tires were developed and put into production for the equipment of the Belgee X70 (Atlas Pro) car and the Belgee X50 (Coolray) crossover - will undoubtedly give the opportunity to successfully cope with all the tasks set", - summed up Kernožitsky.
Earlier it was reported that both summer and winter Belarusian premium-class tires are being prepared for serial production
