Belshina summed up the results of the Silk Road rally
The "MAZ-SPORTavto" team, which traditionally uses tires from the "Belshina" company, did not receive awards following the "Silk Road" rally, during which participants overcame 5,000 km of steppes, forests, and deserts in Russia and Mongolia. However, as noted in the tire company, the race once again became an excellent test for its products.
As noted by Anastasia Kubrak, the leading engineer-designer of the tire design and construction department of the UPKSH ITs "Belshina", whose words are quoted by "Shinnik", in the off-season, the company took into account the comments and wishes of the "MAZ-SPORTavto" team, which primarily concerned the recipes for rubber compounds for tread parts.
"No special training was conducted directly for the 'Silk Road': according to the agreement, we manufactured a batch of 14.00R20 Bel-248 tires, taking into account the experience gained from previous races," she said. "During the rally, we were in constant contact with the MAZ team and provided all necessary recommendations to the crews regarding tire behavior. And, of course, we started every day by monitoring the online race results. We were very worried about the guys and were very upset when one episode on the ninth stage crossed out their chances of winning. Of course, the data collected during the rally will be important information for us, which will be used in our further joint work."
Notably, the Ural Motorsport team also completed the race on Belarusian tires, showing the best result in their history: fifth, sixth, and eighth places. At the start, Michelin tires were installed, but the "Ural" team quickly "re-shod" in the same serial Bel-248 tires, on which they reached the finish line, showing the best result in the team's history: fifth, sixth, and eighth places.
The first place in the race, as well as the entire podium of the group standings, was taken by the Russian team "KAMAZ-master", which again performed on Kama Pro NU 405 tires from the Nizhnekamsk tire complex Kama Tyres.
