Apollo launches new mixed-service truck tires

Apollo Tyres has expanded its radial truck tyre lineup with a new model, the Apollo Endurax MD HD, designed for rigid-frame dump trucks and intended for use in mixed conditions with a 70/30 on-road to off-road ratio.

The tyres feature an improved carcass design that reduces heat generation, while the strength of the breaker and bead area has been increased by 25% and 45% respectively. A modified tread rubber compound enhances resistance to cuts and chipping by 10%, and a new tread pattern, "inspired by bear paw prints," is designed to improve traction on loose and uneven surfaces.

The tyres were tested both at Apollo's research and development center and in real-world operating conditions. The company states that test results confirmed the product's high performance in terms of durability, traction, and load-carrying capacity.

“Fleet operators need tyres that perform reliably under tough conditions and help prevent equipment downtime,” said Rajesh Dharia, Vice President of Apollo, adding that the Endurax MD HD “incorporates the latest engineering innovations and has undergone extensive field testing, proving its ability to deliver reliable grip and enhanced wear resistance in mixed operating conditions.”
