Apollo became a sponsor of AS Monaco FC

Indian company Apollo Tyres has signed a sponsorship contract with "Monaco", one of the most successful clubs in the history of French football, with the aim of enhancing the value of its premium brand Vredestein.

The partnership with "Monaco" is expected to help improve the recognition of the Vredestein brand among a wider audience in France and abroad, thanks to the status of the French Ligue 1 as the fifth most popular football championship in the world. For the first time, Vredestein logos will appear on player uniforms during the home game against "Brest", which will take place on November 22.

The partnership starts in the middle of the season, and Apollo has the opportunity to extend the agreement for several years, which "paves the way for the company's long-term presence in elite French football". "Monaco" is celebrating its centenary this year, and throughout its history, the club has won Ligue 1 eight times, as well as five French Cups and one League Cup.

During the 2024/2025 season, Vredestein symbolism will be represented at the "Louis II" stadium, on player uniforms, and on LED screens around the field. In addition, marketing initiatives will be launched on social media to reach a "wide and interested audience". Currently, Apollo is also a partner of the English football club "Manchester United", the World Cup in alpine skiing, and the classic Mille Miglia rally.

"The new partnership offers us exciting opportunities to expand Vredestein's presence in one of our key markets," noted Yves Pouliquin, Vice President of Apollo's European division. "Monaco's rich history and their desire for constant evolution perfectly match our commitment to innovation. We look forward to strengthening our ties and the club's new achievements in the current season".

Thierry Chatelard, Monaco's marketing director, added that the club and the tire company share the same values, and "there is no doubt that their support will be of great importance during the remainder of the season, which promises to be truly exciting".

The Vredestein brand was created in the Netherlands in 1908 and became one of the pioneers in the all-season tire segment in the 1990s. Apollo acquired the brand in 2009.
