Apollo opens new research and development center for tire testing
In the global R&D center of the tire manufacturer in Chennai, India, a solemn opening of a new facility took place, designed to reduce the development cycles of new Apollo tire projects. The new Advanced Tire Testing facility is intended to help Apollo specialists improve the efficiency and effectiveness of tire development cycles for passenger and two-wheeled vehicles, including electric vehicles.
The new complex is equipped with a specially designed Flat-Trac machine and an anechoic chamber, which will be used to determine the dynamic and acoustic characteristics of tires, allowing for accelerated product development for replacement tire and original equipment projects.
