Announcement of the release of new Bridgestone sports tires
Bridgestone announced that next year it will release a new UHP tire, the Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo, which is based on the highly successful model Potenza Sport and surpasses its predecessor in terms of wet handling, durability, and fuel efficiency, as well as having a wider range of sizes.
Like the previous generation tire, the Potenza Sport Evo is designed to provide full control over the vehicle at high speeds and optimal stability on both straight roads and in turns. The new tire has received the highest "A" rating in the EU labeling system for wet grip, confirming its effectiveness in rainy conditions. According to the manufacturer, compared to the Potenza Sport, the braking performance on wet and dry surfaces has been improved by 5% and 2%, respectively, while the mileage has been increased by 15% or approximately 6,000 km, and the rolling resistance has been reduced by 6%, which improves fuel efficiency.
The Potenza Sport Evo utilizes the Enliten technology, which is designed to improve various tire properties while also making them more environmentally friendly. The application of this technology means that the new model is fully ready for use on electric vehicles.
The tires are made from a rubber compound with increased stiffness, which, in combination with the reinforced tread and modified carcass, as well as the "sporty" profile and asymmetrical sidewall angle, improves stability and controllability during high-speed maneuvers. Additionally, new inorganic additives in the compound and the optimized design of the tread ribs and grooves "create an ideal synergy," increasing wet grip. A special polymer with improved interaction with fillers has also been added to the rubber compound, which has increased wear resistance.

"Building on the success of the excellent Potenza Sport model, which has been chosen as original equipment for many leading global brands, such as Lamborghini, Maserati, and Porsche, the new tire continues the glorious history of the Potenza family."
The Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo was developed and will be produced in Europe, and the range will include 40 more sizes than the previous generation tires. In total, the new tire will be available in 139 sizes, from 17 to 23 inches, covering 92% of the sports segment. The first 92 sizes will be released in January 2026, and the remaining sizes will be released throughout 2027.
