Zelda Vancruiser Ice

Zelda Vancruiser Ice is designed for those who work in cold climates. Commercial vehicles with small capacities (vans, minibuses, light trucks) require not just winter tyres, but a tyre that can carry tons of cargo without making the steering wheel feel like a "gym machine". Engineers solved this problem by combining the robust structure of commercial tyres with the handling characteristic of passenger car models. The result is confidence on icy roads and stability in deep snow.

Directional stability and fuel economy

The tread pattern features two wide composite longitudinal ribs in the central part. This geometry performs three key functions:
- directional stability - the elements work as guides, firmly fixing the tyre on a given trajectory during straight-line driving, which is especially important for high and loaded commercial vehicles;
- comfortable handling at speed - thanks to the increased contact area of the central zone, the effort on the steering wheel remains informative, without wandering and delays;
- optimisation of rolling resistance - the shape of the elements reduces the deformation of the compound during rolling, which directly affects fuel consumption.

Stability in turns and even wear

The shoulder blocks are designed with increased sizes and reinforced cross-sections. Their arrangement is chosen so that when manoeuvring on slippery surfaces, they take on the maximum lateral loads, ensuring stability on the turn and preventing skidding. Additionally, the stiffness of the shoulder elements is carefully balanced with the central zone to ensure that the pressure distribution across the contact patch is as even as possible. This solution minimises the risk of uneven wear.

Compound with "arctic" elasticity and strength

The rubber compound contains special rubbers and micro-additives that maintain molecular mobility at temperatures down to -40 °C. This means that the tyre does not become brittle in the cold, but remains elastic, allowing the lamellas to work effectively even in the strongest cold. At the same time, the compound has increased resistance, which is critical for commercial vehicles often operated on roads with anti-icing agents and ice fragments.

Key features of Zelda Vancruiser Ice:

- the reinforced carcass and optimised profile provide high load-carrying capacity without losing precision in steering response;
- the central ribs form directional stability at high speeds, reduce rolling resistance, and improve fuel economy;
- the massive shoulder blocks with a well-thought-out arrangement guarantee stability during manoeuvring and prevent uneven wear;
- the geometry of the grooves increases the contact area on ice and snow, while maintaining the stiffness of the blocks during braking and acceleration;
- the rubber compound maintains its working characteristics at low temperatures, resists wear, cracking, and cuts, ensuring a long service life.
