Innovative technologies of Japanese scientists have made it possible to significantly improve the qualities of the G072 tire. Handling and course stability have been improved due to the distribution of the contact patch. Water-repelling grooves more effectively combat a large volume of water under the contact patch, ejecting it to the side. The new profile of the side blocks allows the pressure in the tire to be distributed more evenly compared to the predecessor of the Yokohama G072 tire, effectively counteracting lateral skidding and increasing the service life of the tire.
Directional tread pattern:
The directional tread pattern provides effective water removal from the contact patch, reducing the potential risk of aquaplaning and improving traction on wet roads.
New block edge shape:
The block wall and changing angles of inclination stabilize the pressure in the contact patch and reduce wear.
New V-shaped block:
During braking on a wet surface, a water film accumulates in the center of the contact patch. The new V-shaped block of the Yokohama G072 tire ejects water through straight grooves, improving traction with the surface.
Contour of the tread profile:
Increasing the total area of the contact patch and optimizing the pressure in it.
Three-dimensional (spatial) lamellas:
Unlike traditional lamellas, three-dimensional 3D lamellas provide block stability against deformation for maximum traction on ice, wet and dry surfaces.
