The Yokohama Geolandar CV 4S G061 tire is designed for use on SUVs, crossovers, and pickups in "mild" winter conditions without heavy snowfall. The main area of application is urban roads, highways, and light off-road.
The model is equipped with a non-directional tread with a pronounced asymmetry of the block structure arrangement. In the central zone, there are three ribs formed by separately located blocks of irregular shape. Their sharp edges are particularly effective on slightly snowy and icy roads during straight-line driving. The wide "shoulders" transitioning into the sidewalls increase stability when performing maneuvers and also improve traction on loose snow. The open-type drainage system is capable of handling large water and snow volumes, standing out for its self-cleaning ability.
The use of a compound with a high percentage of silicon-containing components has had a positive impact on the tire's ability to adapt to various temperature conditions. At the same time, the preservation of the elasticity of the rubber mixture is noted, and, as a consequence, the maintenance of working characteristics at the same level.
