Description Yokohama Bluearth EF10
Released worldwide by the renowned and respected Japanese company, the summer passenger tire Yokohama EF10 is designed, like all tires in the Bluearth line, primarily for compact passenger cars.
The main advantage of this tire is a high level of comfort and, above all, safety in combination with excellent fuel efficiency. This was achieved thanks to the use of a rubber nanomixture containing orange oil, as well as improved aerodynamic performance and reduced weight.
And it is weight that is often the "enemy number one" in many automotive areas. When developing this tire, Yokohama EF10, the company's engineers paid a lot of attention to weight reduction in order to improve the overall efficiency of the tire. As a result, this tire is at least one-fifth lighter than its main competitors.
However, weight was not the only obstacle in the creation of this tire. The rolling resistance, which has a direct impact on such consumer qualities of the tire as service life and fuel consumption, is also of great importance. Thanks to the use of an innovative rubber mixture, it was possible not only to reduce the rolling resistance and increase the service life of the tire but also to significantly improve traction and handling, especially on wet surfaces.
This tire was created to provide optimal balance of basic operational and consumer qualities. To a large extent, this depends on the aerodynamic performance. To optimize them, the tire underwent processing in an aerodynamic tube. As a result, due to the optimized sidewall and tread pattern of the tire, it was possible to significantly reduce the aerodynamic resistance of the tire as a whole, which also increased its energy efficiency.
Key Features of Yokohama EF10
- phenomenally low rolling resistance provided the tire with excellent fuel efficiency;
- a unique rubber mixture radically improved wear resistance and traction, especially in rainy conditions;
- low likelihood of aquaplaning even when driving at high speeds, thanks to the presence of three longitudinal water drainage grooves;
- low noise level is ensured by the optimized tread pattern.
