First and foremost, it is the properties of the rubber compound to absorb a significant part of the impact from small road surface irregularities. Additionally, all tread elements that generate noise from rolling are arranged with an offset relative to each other, which prevents the occurrence of low-frequency hum. High-frequency noises are reduced by bridges between the shoulder blocks and special circular recesses on their side. They reduce the risk of air flow vortices that form around the tire at high speeds.
Rubber Compound
The tread is made of the NanoBlend rubber compound. Its composition is based on silica and contains orange oil and special polymers. The oil further increases the strength of the compound under tension. In turn, the polymers, acting at the molecular level, ensure the uniformity of the rubber compound, help the tread maintain its integrity at high speeds, and resistance to abrasive wear.
