The Yokohama BluEarth E51 summer tire is designed for compact and mid-size passenger cars with improved dynamic performance. It belongs to the Ultra High Performance category models, differing from most of them with better fuel efficiency and longer service life.
The tire's tread is made of a rubber compound with a rather specific set of properties. The compound features increased elasticity at low temperatures, adding grip on wet pavement, along with resistance to abrasive wear and low heat generation during steady high-speed driving. The tread pattern contains massive blocks and ribs, which achieves even greater reduction of rolling resistance and provides wear resistance while increasing traction stability and steering precision.
Key features of Yokohama BluEarth E51
- a rubber compound that enhances wet grip, reduces fuel consumption, and increases tire mileage;
- massive elements of the tread pattern improve handling and stability at high speeds, reduce rolling resistance and wear;
- an optimized tread profile increases the contact patch, improving traction and handling.
