Yokohama AVS

Yokohama AVS – a winter asymmetric tire from the legendary Japanese manufacturer, which can be installed on a wide range of passenger cars of various classes. It is characterized by the efficiency of contact, both on slippery and snowy roads, stability of control on winter roads, and increased resource.

The model was developed using advanced technologies, which allowed to significantly improve its operational characteristics. Firstly, this concerned the multi-block nature of the tread, the structure of which provides a high level of universality. The tire demonstrates confident grip, both on dry and icy roads, as well as effective grip on snowy pavement. Secondly, this is an extensive drainage system, which allows to cope with both water volumes and slush, reducing the likelihood of skidding and wheel spinning to a minimum.

An important feature is the compound, which is maximally adapted to low temperatures. This was achieved by including silicon dioxide in its composition, as well as a number of polymer additives that improve the dispersion of "silica". As a result, the tread elements retain their effectiveness at various temperature regimes due to the maintenance of optimal elasticity.

The presence of an extensive network of three-dimensional lamellas, densely covering all elements, allows maintaining the accuracy of control and maneuverability of the vehicle even on icy roads. In addition, the massive block structures of the shoulder zone contribute to increased fixation of the contact patch on loose snow.
