According to representatives of the Japanese manufacturer, Yokohama Avid ENVigor is a tire "for almost everyone". This model is offered in over 70 sizes, some of which are designed for powerful sports sedans and coupes, as well as for SUVs and crossovers. Another feature of this tire is that it is positioned by the manufacturer as "all-season". This statement should be taken into account only when living in an area where winter is characterized by positive temperatures and lack of snow cover. Considering our climatic conditions, this model can be considered exclusively as a summer tire.
"Grooves in grooves"
The development of this tire used a large number of advanced technologies. One of these solutions is groove-in-groove. This term hides special depressions in the drainage grooves adjacent to the central longitudinal rib. These tread elements perform several functions at once. First of all, it is the direction of water flows from the longitudinal drainage grooves into the transverse channels, through which it is removed beyond the tread, which has a positive effect on resistance to aquaplaning.
