Reliable handling on wet surfaces
Compared to previous models, this tire is distinguished by noticeably better traction on wet surfaces. This was achieved through several solutions at once. First of all, it's the increase in the longitudinal grooves in the central part of the tread, which have become several times larger. The drainage elements located along the edges of the tread also increased in volume, acquiring a curved shape that further enhances the intensity of water diversion from under the tire. As a result, even at very high speeds, it loses contact with the wet surface. Another solution that improved the effectiveness of the tread in such conditions is the rubber compound. In addition to natural rubber, silicon dioxide, and special polymers, it contains oil from orange peels, which further increases the elasticity of the tread while maintaining its high strength against tearing and stretching. When driving on wet surfaces, this makes the tire even more gripping, along with very high resistance to abrasive wear and the formation of cracks and tears under extremely high loads.
Sporty handling
Another innovation affected the structure of the carcass, or rather, its part located directly under the sidewalls of the tire. Here, an additional cord made of synthetic fiber with a matrix winding scheme appeared. This increases the stiffness of the sidewalls, their resistance to deformation, which ensures faster and more accurate reactions of the tire to the driver's actions, improves the stability of traction properties during maneuvering, and prevents the occurrence and development of uneven wear. This solution also increased the resistance of the sidewalls to damage, primarily tears, due to excessive mechanical impact.
Optimized profile and tread pattern
To a significant extent, the stability of traction properties and ease of handling are ensured due to the optimization of the profile and tread pattern. Except for narrow strips on the edges of the tread, it is made practically flat, and the outer side, in addition to massive shoulder blocks, contains a wide and rigid longitudinal rib. All together, this provides directional stability at high speed, quickness and accuracy in the tire's response to steering wheel turns, and also increases the resistance of the tread to wear, especially with a dynamic driving style.
