The summer tire Yokohama Advan Sport V103H is designed for medium and full-size passenger cars. It is distinguished by balanced operational properties, demonstrating a sports-honed handling and a high level of acoustic and driving comfort, including smoothness of ride.
"Hybrid" carcass
The balance of operational properties is largely ensured by the "hybrid" design of the carcass. Its basis is three cords, the lowest of which is made of viscous material, and the other two are made of steel. On top of them is a three-layer synthetic cord, the winding technology of which eliminates the formation of seams and joints. As a result, the part of the carcass located directly under the tread, has exceptional stiffness and resistance to deformative changes, and the sidewalls have a certain mobility. It is rigidly limited by a special filler in the tire rim, ensuring a tight fit and rigid connection with the wheel disk.
Sickle-shaped grooves
On the inside of the asymmetric tread, there are drainage grooves of an original sickle-shaped form. The elements are multifunctional, as they improve several operational properties at once. In addition to enhancing resistance to aquaplaning, such grooves optimize the distribution of external load on the contact patch, which reduces the risk of uneven wear and gives the traction properties additional stability.
Main features of Yokohama Advan Sport V103H
- "hybrid" carcass design provides excellent stability and traction at high speed, gives the tire a smooth ride;
- sickle-shaped drainage grooves enhance resistance to aquaplaning and uneven wear, give the traction additional stability;
- rigidly connected shoulder blocks on the outside improve handling, prevent skidding during turns.
