Description Yokohama A345
The summer tire Yokohama A345 is a universal model designed for everyday use on all asphalt roads. It is characterized by balanced operating properties, demonstrating stability of traction properties and ease of handling on dry and wet surfaces, as well as a quiet and smooth ride, fuel efficiency, and long mileage before replacement.
2-layer tread
This model is distinguished by the use of a two-layer tread structure. Its lower part is made of a rubber compound with increased thermal conductivity. This significantly reduces the heating of the tire during prolonged high-speed driving, which prevents tread cracking and increases the tire's mileage. Additionally, the rolling resistance is reduced, which has a positive effect on the tire's fuel efficiency. The upper layer of the tread, which is in direct contact with the road surface, is characterized by the presence of an increased amount of silica dioxide, also known as "silica". This and other components increase the strength of the compound against tearing and stretching, making the tire elastic even at low temperatures, which significantly improves traction on wet surfaces.
Improved aerodynamics
Another important feature of this model is the design of the shoulder areas, specifically their side surfaces, which have numerous spherical depressions, similar to those found on golf balls. These elements prevent the formation of vortices in the air flow during high-speed driving. On the one hand, this reduces the level of high-frequency noise, positively affecting the acoustic comfort inside the vehicle, and on the other hand, it reduces air resistance and, simultaneously, rolling resistance, thereby improving fuel efficiency.
Lightweight carcass
The next feature of the tire is the design of its carcass. In addition to the use of exclusively synthetic materials, it is distinguished by the use of special cord winding technologies. This ensures the absence of any seams and joints, as well as the arrangement of polyester and nylon fibers at an angle relative to the axis of rotation of the wheel, which is optimal from the point of view of ensuring resistance to deformation and smoothness of the ride, while reducing the number of cord layers. As a result, with a low weight, such a carcass provides high stability of traction properties and precision handling, reducing rolling resistance and preventing rapid tread wear.
Key features of Yokohama A345:
- a two-layer tread reduces tire heating, reducing rolling resistance and increasing tire mileage;
- improved aerodynamics due to shoulder areas with a golf ball-like surface;
- a rigid and lightweight carcass improves handling, reduces wear, and rolling resistance.
