Description Windforce Snowpower
Windforce Snowpower – a winter tire for passenger cars, providing a high level of safety on icy and snowy roads, excellent handling and traction.
The asymmetric arrangement of tread blocks provides several factors at once. Firstly, it is improved grip on winter roads. This is created due to the numerous edges of the elements acting as traction notches. Secondly, all blocks are collected in longitudinal ribs. This affects the improvement of handling, both when driving straight and during maneuvers. Thirdly, minimization of braking distance – lamellas in combination with block structure reduce it by 7% compared to analogues.
The rubber compound has adhesion properties, which affects the traction characteristics demonstrated by the tire on snow and ice. In addition, the developed drainage network minimizes slushing and aquaplaning. It is also worth noting the effectiveness of the channels in terms of self-cleaning, which makes driving on winter roads even safer.
Main features:
- resistance to skidding and aquaplaning due to rapid removal of snow and water from the contact zone;
- ease of handling due to increased traction;
- reduction of braking distance by 7% due to numerous gripping edges;
- minimal rolling resistance, which affects fuel efficiency.
