The Windforce Catchsnow winter tire is installed on SUVs and off-road vehicles. On any slippery surface, it has high efficiency when slowing down and improved traction in adverse weather conditions.
In the central part of the tread, there is one straight and two zigzag grooves. The multidirectional edges of adhesion formed by them increase the stability of the adhesion properties on snow. The open design of the shoulder areas further enhances the resistance to aquaplaning, and in combination with enlarged blocks, the effectiveness of the tread when braking on wet and snowy surfaces. The longitudinally arranged elements in the central part have a complex polygonal shape, which creates additional edges in the contact patch.
Key features of Windforce Catchsnow
- zigzag grooves in the central part further enhance directional stability and longitudinal traction on snow;
- increased width and open design of the shoulder areas improve resistance to aquaplaning and slushplaning, reduce braking distance;
- complex block shape in the central part provides more effective implementation of traction effort;
- high density of lamella, their inclined arrangement improve the performance of the tread on icy surfaces.
