Wideway Iceway – a tire designed for use in the winter season on passenger vehicles. The model features directional stability on snowy or icy roads, improved maneuverability, and minimal noise levels.
Developed with the help of computer simulation systems, the asymmetric tread pattern excels in various winter road conditions. Its central part, represented by a rib with elongated blocks, stabilizes handling, making it more responsive. Meanwhile, the adjacent ribs with diagonally arranged notches minimize the risk of skidding during maneuvers. Entering turns while maintaining control is also ensured by numerous blocks in the shoulder area, which are additionally reinforced to prevent deformation.
A large number of large and medium-sized channels, as well as a developed lamellar network, provide not only rapid removal of snow and water masses but also increase traction due to numerous gripping edges.
Key features:
- stability of driving characteristics on winter roads due to the multi-block structure of the tread;
- fast self-cleaning eliminates the occurrence of slushing and hydroplaning;
- minimization of noise effects due to the special arrangement of grooves;
- a prolonged period of operation is achieved by reducing wear through the use of special anti-abrasive additives in the compound.
