The WestLake SW606 winter tire is installed on passenger cars of various classes. On the go, it is favorably distinguished by reliable and predictable handling, confident behavior in complex weather conditions, and acoustic comfort.
The tread pattern is executed in a "classic" design for such products with a directional and symmetrical arrangement of elements. In the middle, there is a wide rib. The solid construction and massive dimensions provide directional stability and, interacting with the shoulder blocks, give the car handling a quickness and accuracy, making it easier. Except for the two longitudinal ones in the central part, the drainage grooves are located at a large angle and increased in width. This minimizes the risk of both aquaplaning and slushplaning due to the intensive removal of water and its heavy mixture with snow and road slush from the contact patch. Efficiency on icy and rolled snow is achieved due to thousands of sharp edges formed by the lamellas. The wavy shape of the slots significantly increases their length and, together with this, the coupling properties.
