Viking Viking 3 225/60 R16 Q
Specifications
DescriptionDescription Viking Viking 3 225/60 R16 Q
The Viking Viking 3 tire was developed with the harsh winter conditions of Northern Europe and Russia in mind. This model demonstrates the highest efficiency even at very low temperatures. And it's not just excellent traction on any type of winter road, but also a high level of comfort, both driving and acoustic.
Asymmetric Tread
Aiming to give the tire maximum versatility, its developers preferred to use the wide capabilities of an asymmetric tread. They divided it into separate functional zones, each of which "is responsible" for improving certain characteristics. In particular, the shoulder zones of the tread, containing wide massive blocks, provide maximum traction during braking and maneuvering.
Thousands of Traction Edges
Each tread block contains at least several lamellas. These elements, despite their small size, provide the tire with a large part of the traction properties on slippery surfaces, including ice and rolled snow. Their effectiveness is due to their large number. They are located at a distance of a few millimeters from each other, so the number of traction edges formed by them runs into thousands. In combination with 8 rows of spikes, this allows the tire to demonstrate very confident behavior on any icy surface.
Key Features of Viking Viking 3
- excellent performance in any conditions thanks to an asymmetric tread divided into several functional zones;
- wide blocks in the shoulder zones give the tire increased resistance to lateral skidding, improve passability on snow, reduce the length of the braking distance;
- thousands of lamellas and about a hundred spikes provide reliable and confident behavior on any icy surface;
- special cross-shaped grooves in the shoulder zones improve traction on snow;
- significant width of drainage grooves, which ensures excellent resistance to slushplaning.
