Description Viking ProTech II
The Viking ProTech II tire is one of the models of summer tires for passenger cars presented by the same-named manufacturing company from the United Kingdom. In the development of ProTech II, as well as the entire Viking product line, a trend of British fundamentalism is clearly visible: meticulous attention to detail, an attitude towards aesthetic design, and, most importantly, high reliability.
Unwavering adherence to established priorities, however, does not create serious obstacles to finding non-traditional solutions, and a striking example of this is the asymmetric tread pattern designed for the Viking ProTech II model. The engineering idea of British developers turned out to be ideal in terms of combining technical and dynamic characteristics of the tire, both for dry and wet surfaces: traveling in a car equipped with ProTech II tires is equally comfortable in any weather conditions. The same applies to safety issues, where ease of handling and directional stability of the vehicle are top priority.
Modern tire production is characterized by the use of qualitatively new structural materials, which directly relates to the chemical composition of rubber. The introduction of silicon-rubber polymers into the rubber mixture guarantees reliable contact with the road surface at any humidity, stability during emergency braking, and resistance to aquaplaning.
The Viking ProTech II tire is primarily designed for vehicle operation on roads with hard surfaces. The technical characteristics of the tire are controlled in the urban rhythm of movement, where the main criteria are: maneuverability, ease and predictability of handling, predictability of behavior in an emergency situation (braking distance, directional stability, etc.). However, this is also relevant when driving on intercity highways. In all of the above criteria, the Viking ProTech II model received the highest rating and belongs to the category of high-security tires.
Main features of the Viking ProTech II model
- Asymmetric tread pattern provides stability of speed and dynamic characteristics regardless of the degree of road surface moisture;
- Optimal composition of the rubber mixture guarantees reliable grip with the road surface when moving, both on dry and wet surfaces;
- Resistance to aquaplaning;
- Safety and directional stability during emergency braking;
- Extended service life.
