Viking CityTech tire is a summer model of a tubeless, radial tire for passenger cars. When designing CityTech, the UK-based manufacturer was primarily focused on the requests of owners of inexpensive foreign cars regarding the optimal combination of quality and price. Since the fleet of budget cars is quite numerous, this fact was taken into account when developing Viking CityTech, and this model is presented in several standard sizes.
A significant reduction in production costs, and therefore the retail price, was achieved not at the expense of quality, but thanks to the use of high-tech equipment and the latest structural materials used in tire production. In close cooperation with the chemical industry, specially developed rubber compound formulations provide high technical and dynamic, as well as speed indicators for a car equipped with CityTech tires. Special silicone composites in the rubber composition give the tires high elasticity and ensure reliable traction with the road surface. Additionally, such rubber reduces vibrations and bumps when driving at speed, absorbs acoustic noise.
The CityTech model is primarily designed for operation in city traffic mode, which is reflected in the concept of tire tread design. Transverse and radial grooves of the tread pattern provide a sufficient level of safety when driving in conditions of high humidity. A successful combination of tread blocks and stiffness ribs, as well as lateral water-dispensing slot-like grooves, has a significant impact on ease and accuracy of handling, as well as excellent braking performance.
A car with Viking CityTech tires is favorably distinguished by its maneuverability and predictability of behavior in emergency situations. Course stability and control, which reduces the risk of an emergency situation, are the main criteria by which the safety of a car is evaluated in general.
