The summer tire for SUVs and crossovers Venom Power Covert Grip H/T was created specifically for the North American market, where such vehicles are one of the most common types of personal transportation, differing at the same time in very specific features. It is for this reason that this model stands out with a reinforced design, designed for long distances on high-speed highways, intensive operation under high load and hot climate of the southern states of the USA.
Resource tests of this tire were carried out on the roads of Nevada and Texas at temperatures above plus 50 degrees Celsius. In such conditions, it demonstrated excellent resistance to deformation and delamination of the tread. To a large extent, this was due to the use of a polymeric complex in the compound, which reduces the heating of the tread during prolonged high-speed movement, as well as prevents the formation of small cracks and tears, ensuring excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
The tread pattern is made according to a symmetrical non-directional scheme, characteristic of highway tires. The central part consists of three longitudinal ribs, which increase the directional stability and accuracy of steering at speed. Between them are multiple zigzag-shaped lamellas, forming sharp edges of grip, which is especially important when driving on a wet road. Wide drainage grooves effectively remove water and prevent aquaplaning, and massive shoulder blocks provide stability during maneuvers and braking. Thanks to the optimized block pitch and the use of computer modeling, it was possible to achieve a low level of noise and vibrations even at high speed.
